FROM NASA TO SCHOOL
I created "From NASA to School" in 2018, to bring high school students into contact with the space sector. Too many students leave school without knowing which real opportunities are out there, and this is even truer for those students coming from disadvantaged families. However, a fresh approach to maths, physics and the world of space science can help not only to recruit the next generation of space engineers, but also to promote science activities at school level.
Every NASA to School course is tailored onto the needs of the teachers and the level of the classroom. It involves the use of computers, basic modelling, data analyses with Excel, and engaging frontal lectures to introduce the topics.
Examples of few courses include:
The Science of Climate Change (3 lectures, two hours each)
So you wanna be an Astronaut? (2 hours lecture)
The Castle in the Time Wrap (5 lectures, two hours each)
